I told myself I was gonna be nice and let this slide… but I couldn’t resist! These people deserve to be called out on a MORON MOMENT!
As some of you know, this years’ comic con was my first “real” time cosplaying! I realize I have a lot to learn as far as cosplay etiquette goes (i.e. do not jump in on other cosplayers’ photo ops)!!! *Oopsies*! Ok, you know what? I only did that once and it was with this picture (taken by Jinxie):
… and guess what these “Final Fantasy fans” said? “This is for Final Fantasy characters only!!” OK, maybe I was wrong when I jumped in (FYI, I did ask that Auron cosplayer if it was OK if I took a pic with the group). I was excited, so sue me!
However, notice the look of confusion on their faces… I mean really, if they were fans of Final Fantasy, don’t you think they’d realize that my cosplay IS from Final Fantasy? Final Fantasy X-2, Paine’s Berserker to be exact.
If any of you aren’t sure of something, don’t blurt it out… because if you’re wrong, you will be fired *lol*!

Awesome. Simply awesome that they would say something like that. I mean, I know they may not have known, but someone could have at least asked you who you were before trying to dis you.
Besides, it has been some of my experience that some of those who cosplay as FF characters know nothing beyond VII and VIII. Sad, but true.
At AX this year, my wife knew more about FF than some of the cosplayers… and she hates the series.

Tracyee, this picture is priceless. This is the stuff con stories are made of. I think the one person that looks pissed off the most is Selphie all the way down there on the left.
It may have been your first real cosplay, but the fact remains that you are the only non-fail in this picture. These people need to have a sense of humor.
