Introduction: Hello my lovlies! My name is Heather, but I go by Angel or Ang3L on the world of the internets. I guess you could call me a boy stuck in a girl’s body. I’ve always been the only girl in a group of a lot of guys. I guess this is why I make such an effort to support other females with my geeky/tomboy tendancies. I play games, shoot guns, dance until the sun comes up, and cuss like a sailor. I spent the first part of my life just outside Seattle, Washington. Since then I’ve had the “itchy foot syndrome” and havent been able to find a place quite right for me and I’ve lived all over the country. Although my nomadic tendancies have kept me from really settling down, I still find comfort in the wonderful people I’ve met, the awesome places I’ve seen, and the adventures I’ve had getting where I am today. Regrets are for the birds. You pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free. For now I’m residing in Tennessee with my husband, my dog named Yoshi, and my little girl on the way. I’m glad I can say my life has been amazing, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.I’m slowly embracing my girly-ness. Ive become addicted to designer jeans (mostly because I’m 6 feet tall and designer jeans are almost guaranteed to come with a 34″ inseam”) and MAC Makeup. Ive become a regular at my local spa, and have learned to embrace my girly habbits.

Weapon of choice!

Gaming History: The person responsible for all this is my dad. He was one of the first employees for Microsoft, and was the one who handed me my first controller. My first game was Adventure for the Atari 2600 and I still remember calling the dragons “duckies.” Thanks to my dad, I could type before I could write. I spent a lot of my time as a kid playing with my best friend, who was also a huge video game addict. Instead of watching Saved by the Bell or other after school specials, we watched eachother beat games and pretended to be Mortal Kombat characters in the back yard. To make a long story short, I’ve been a nerd from the start.

I started really falling in love with games around the Super Nintendo era. A time when Japanese style turn based role playing games were popping up every few months. I remember having dreams about walking through “save points” and worrying about mana. When Goldeneye 64 came out for the Nintendo 64, I was hooked on shooters of the first person kind. I even attended a Goldeneye tournament my freshman year of highschool. I’m not going to lie, I did NOT come out on top, but I fell in love with the competitivness of first person shooters.

In 2005 I joined PMS Clan, the world’s largest all female clan on Xbox, PC, Wii, and PS3. I played competitivly with PMS on multipleFrag Dolls Elite 8 games and have met lots of amazing women because of the clan. In 2006 I was named one of the Frag Doll’s “Elite 8″ and was sent to SanFrancisco by Ubisoft to compete for the open slot in the Frag Doll’s roster. I didn’t win, but was given the opportunity to demo games for Ubisoft at E3 2006. I have to say this was probably one of the coolest thing that has ever happened to me. I’ve wanted to go to E3 since I was a little girl reading about it in my issues of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

As of today I’m just a gamer with a writing problem. I’d love to break into the industry, but my focus is more on the female gaming community and creating a strong voice for ourselves. That doesn’t mean I don’t like playing with you boys!! I’m always down for a friendly match so don’t be afraid to send a message my way for some good old fragging.
