When I’m not busy blowing the heads off of enemies to get to the next level, I’m usually playing video games. I am The Game Dame (but you can call me Kate.)
I’ve been a gamer as long as I’ve had enough motor skills to rawk a controller and I’ve always gotten a kick out of writing, so it was only a matter of time before the two passions were combined. In 2004, I started posting snarky game reviews on MySpace. This caught the attention of the editor of Femme Fatales magazine and The Game Dame was born (viva la interwebs!). Shortly after I started writing for FF, I decided to launch my own site: TheGameDame.com where I post on gaming-related randomness.
In addition to writing for Femme Fatales and my blog, I also do the Level-Update - a weekly news roundup on Level-Up radio which is a station sponsored by Maxim on Sirius. If you miss the show (Tuesdays at 2 EST) I post my portion on my MySpace page and here on my site.
As far as what kinds of games I like to play, that changes as often as my mood. I’ve got a PS3, PSP, Wii, and DS, but I’m usually on my Xbox 360 so it’s always easiest to just check out my gamercard to see what I’m into at the moment. Feel free to send me a friend request, I’ll totally accept and message with you. But let me warn you that I rarely play online. I’m kind of a hermit gamer.
