I am Candace, a girl of many faces and a talented individual. I run on an engine fueled by passion and caffeine. I am a model, a photographer, an Occultist and a full time geek. I was born and raised in sunny southern California and grew up fascinated with horror movies, Tim Burton, Star Wars, and Nintendo. When I wasn’t playing video games or making up new games to play I would watch my mom paint and I’m glad she encouraged craftyness. When Halloween rolled around she would make me costumes that were incredible for their time. Later on I started making costumes for myself and fell into cosplay almost accidentally.
During school I took a television class (in a studio) and became hooked on the entertainment industry. I feel in love with everything about it. It was in 2004 that I left home and began in alternative modeling and working in entertainment industry. I never tried to be anything other than myself so I continued to do what I loved, playing video games. Shortly after I began in alternative modeling. Faeries, elves, vampires, horror and so on were the staple, excelling in character work I realized that I wanted to do more. I got behind the camera myself and began doing allot of artistic, horror, and pin-up photography.
In 2005 I met a wonderful lady named Beth and we started an internet paranormal phenomenon known as “Planet Paranormal”. I was accidentally thrown into yet another entertainment aspect of my life with the massive internet radio/podcast movement. During my travels I have worked in Radio, Television, and Film. I have been a host for various events, shows and have interviewed lots of people for numerous production companies. I model for some clothing and specialty companies (hair and SFX) and now model simply for the sake of art. I have been in various visual media such as music videos, indy films, and television hosting.
When I am not working I frequent all the greatest geek conventions such as Anime Expo, StarWars Celebrations, Horror Expos, and Cosplay events. In my spare time I cosplay or do costuming, since the majority of what I do are video game characters. I do volunteer/charity work for the 501st legion and am SL-1613. The 501st Legion is an international group of costumers who share their passion for StarWars by dressing up in character. While in character these great individuals dedicate their time, money and hard work to help charities, children and make donations to various organizations in need.
All through out my life I kept on gaming, it defines me. I have huge passion for gaming, it’s what I do in my spare time and what I do for fun. I find it amazing that technology has taken us so far, the realism in games is astounding from Havoc to Euphoria. We we’re once a people who ran on 8-bit and now we run on 1080p, it’s amazing how far gaming and hardware has come. I love games for the fact that they keep getting better and better, more challenging and more entertaining.
Only recently have I been working my way into the gaming industry. It all started with the G4 Gamer Girl casting on GotCast, where I met some incredible people. I plan on creating my own discussion based blog with video and podcast. On top of that I work as a senior game adviser for GameStop.
I also work in the horror industry doing promotional modeling, film work, SFX makeup, horror photography, and am the owner Ghoul Girls (Horror Pin-Up with a twist!).
