Auction offers up amazing sci-fi/fantasy memorabilia

Have a few extra thousand dollars to spend this holiday season? How ’bout spoiling the geek in your life with Luke’s lightsaber from The Empire Strikes Back or Indy’s fedora and whip from The Temple of Doom?

Profiles in History will be hosting an auction of memorabilia from some of our favorite sci-fi and fantasy films via Ebay Live Auctions and Live Auctioneers on December 11th. Other memorabilia up for sale includes “Wolverine’s” black leather battle suit from X-Men, Christian Bale’s “Batman” cowl from Batman Begins, a complete set of “Harry Potter” books signed by J.K. Rowling, and the “Zero” puppet used in The Nightmare Before Christmas. These are just a small fraction of what’s available, be sure to check out the official site for even more exciting items used in TV shows and movies.

I’m not a batman fan but I LOVE the Robin in ice statue that they have up for auction. The Indie car is also pretty cool but, like Meg, no millions for me….. yet. :)
