The New Lara Croft

alison_carroll

This is going to be a quick post. I’d like to introduce you all to the latest model version of the 3D British Bombshell we all know and love dearly. 23 year old Alison Carroll of Croydon, England apparently has the moves to back up the beauty to be the new face and spokeswoman for the Tomb Raider franchise that just seems to never end. I’ll be totally honest…I’m not that impressed. This has gotta be what…Version 8.0, am I right? Continue for more pictures and my biased opinions… Read the full story

The Halo Cardboard Kid

Okay, so I may be a little late to the game here because this…amazing individual’s video has been out for a short while now. I was actually shocked that majority of the people I have asked about it have not seen it which is why I would like to post it. Everyone is comparing him to the ridiculousness that is the Star Wars Kid and rightfully so. If you don’t know who the Star Wars Kid is, I suggest you turn off your monitor, slowly back away from the computer…and get off my internet. Wait, no…I’m totally kidding. You need to see this. If you dare call yourself any type of a Halo fan then you really need to see this.

Personally, I think the cardboard is a rather nice touch. Continue for Epic Viewage…. Read the full story

Delicious Nintendo: Market Like You Mean It!

candy_mario_1ups

Around the corner from my community is an interesting little-big store that has come to be the center of my every single want and need for materialistic things. This store from heaven is called Cost Plus: World Market.  While my fiance and I were taking a stroll  through the store earlier this evening, we ran into…something that looked very familiar to us. A mushroom. A 1-Up mushroom to be exact. There was green, red and blue little tin cans…sitting there on the shelf…begging me to pick it up. So I did. And you know what? I bought it. Why? Not because I wanted the generic little sour candies that were entrapped inside…I bought it because it was, well, shaped like a 1-Up Mushroom and I HAD to have it. Being a Graphic Designer and having been through my fair share of marketing business, I couldn’t help but think to myself: “Whoever thought of this over at Nintendo really needs to get a raise”.

Epic’s Gears of War 2: Them Multiplayer Bug Blues!

gears_of_war_2_gif

One issue that irks me as a gamer is when the developers of your favorite titles don’t take into consideration the opinions and suggestions of their fanbase. That’s why I have nothing but respect for companies who DO listen and who WANT to take it to that next level so their fans feel like they are getting much more than just some pretty graphics on a disk. Epic Games pretty much promises this and more with their next installment of the Gears of War series: Gears of War 2.
