Help celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of the most legendary series of all time. American Cosplay Paradise (ACP) and Bandai Entertainment are hosting two cosplay contests to celebrate the creation of Gundam.
That’s right. Gundam is 30 years old, which is probably older than some of its fans. Bandai is celebrating in cosplay style, which means a great chance at some sweet prizes for cosplayers. The deadline for both contests is June 24, so you have about a month to get your cosplay in gear.
The contest is specifically for Gundam 00 cosplays, but are open to anyone who is a member at ACP.
One contest is specifically for cosplayers who will be attending Anime Expo, but the other is open to everyone.
At Anime Expo, the winner will be chosen by Seiji Mizushima himself, the director of Gundam 00. The prize? Complimentary badge for AX and a VIP spot at Mizushima’s panel.
For those of us unlucky enough not to be going to AX, we still have a chance at a collector’s edition box set.

Gha, I wish I had time to do a costume for this. I’m busy working on two others, and wouldn’t be able to finish in time X_X Wish I could go to Anime Expo, too. Curse your, travel expenses!
