The epicness that is CES 2010 was almost overwhelming - as it was last year, CES was HUGE.
You’ve got your big names with sprawling booths like Sony and Microsoft - and then you have the smaller booths, who try to draw you in with their flare and personality.
One such booth was the Speck products booth, a company that provides cases, covers and bags for various electronic devices. Besides a full sized “Dance Dance Speck-ulation” arcade machine in their booth, they had swanky see-thru colored Macbook cases, airport friendly CorePack laptop bags and not to mention their Best In Show award winning SeeThru Satin hardcase iPhone 3G shell.
But what really caught my eye was the livepainting happening just behind the DDR - er, I mean, DDS machine. Speck and Artsprojekt have come together to collaborate some amazing limited edition cases for the iPhone3G and 3GS. Artsprojekt artist Jim Mahfood was on location creating art live at the booth for the duration of the show.
Along with Zazzle, Speck and Artsprojekt came together to create three awesome fitted cases creatd by Artsprojekt artists limited to only 250 produced each:
Cutie Pie by Tesha Beaudry Okolowsky
Disease #2 by Noumeda Carbone
LOVE AFTER DEATH by Artsprojekt founder Andy Howell
Also on location were a few designs created during the show. Of those cases, they will select a design to be mass produced for sale.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out what Speck has to offer, be sure to swing by their site, as well as the Artsprojekts site!

Hey, I just got a new iPhone 3Gs, gave my old one to my dad (he only pays at&t $10 a month to get unlimited data on it) and I’ve been looking for good cases, that are not too flashy, good thing you posted some here

I wish AT&T’s coverage wasn’t such a joke otherwise I would get an iPhone. And I would so want that cover with the skulls.

Very unique. I’m not sure what I think about some of the designs but that’s a personal thing. It’s very cool to have choices, however and these are all really awesome looking! Thanks for the write up, Jinxie.

These designs were actually pretty sick, the only problem is deciding which one I want on my phone.
