Summary: If you thought battling Devil Dinosaur was bad, you were barking up the wrong tree! Join Lockjaw and the rest of the Pet Avengers on a voyage under the sea! Their search continues for the Infinity Gems, and it leads them right to the bottom of the ocean. Can they find the gem before drowning or getting eaten by Giganto? If you don’t pick up the third part of this fan-favorite series, you’re all wet!
Review: Issue #3 takes off with a speedy pace, instantly showing us the Pet Avengers in a perilous situation. They had been teleporting away from the previous battle and are now falling from the sky into the ocean where they are befriended by super powered sea turtles. The turtles are able to form air pockets to keep the pets safe, not that this can stop Hairball the cat from complaining the entire time. However, it isn’t long before another great beastial encounter occurs. Lockjaw’s teleportation proves a viable plan to escape the whale but leaves him terribly exhausted and unable to carry on. The pets had landed safely on the United States White House lawn! The sensation of two other Infinity Gems grows stronger. Throg devises an ingenious plan to infiltrate the White House. They are met not by the Secret Service, but by Bo, the First Dog! And it turns out that Bo holds the key — well, not a key but he does in fact have possession of one of the gems in his collar. A high speed chase ensues but is brought to a screeching and terrifying halt as Thanos appears and nabs Bo in his evil grasp!
Sure, the story is outrageous, but it’s for kids after all. I really believed that including the First Dog in a story was a bit “jumping the shark” considering just how over saturated the Presidential appearances have become in comics; however, it’s really not that bad and Bo at least has a purpose to the story by being a creature specifically entrusted with one of the gems.
There’s only one more issue to close out this mini-series and Marvel will undoubtedly make it as exciting and quick-paced as the first three issues have been.

It’s good to hear that this is a fun comic, however silly. Good for kids, at least. I don’t think I’d buy/read it!
