Are you one of the many people psyched up for Spike Jonze’s movie adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s tale “Where the Wild Things Are?” Perhaps you’re a parent or remember the book from your childhood. Now you can bring the characters you know and love right to your desk with the new line of Kubricks by a Japanese company called Mediacom Toys.
The set comes complete with Max (the main character) and all seven of the Wild Things. Additionally, you can get a special 12″ Real Action Hero doll of Max donned in his fuzzy suit and crown.
The toys are set to debut alongside the movie launch- in October 2009. However you can get your preorder on now at limited Mediacom retail locations.

I am glad you did an article on these. I want them all! I think the Max at the bottom is around $100 though.

…I want! I want sooooo bad! This remains to be my favorite children’s book of all time, and I am still thinking about doing a Max cosplay, just for the hell of it.
