Thats’ right everyone! Our very own leading lady of Girls Entertainment Network is DirectTV’s hottest host for Blizzcon 2008!
Announced today on Worldofwarcraft.com and Blizzard.com our lovely leading lady Becky “Aktrez” Young will be one of the hosts for DirectTV’s Blizzcon 2008 Pay-Per View special!
This year’s con will be held at Anaheim California from October 10-11th, the weekend event will be covering everything Blizzard; from hands on Starcraft 2 demo’s, Warcraft 3 tournaments, a new look at the upcoming Diablo 2 game, many wonderful contests and much much more!!
Along with Becky, Geoff Keighley (Spike TV) and Kat Hunter (The Championship Gaming Series) will also be lending their talent. Marcus “DJ Wheat” Graham and Kim “Bunny” Phan will be covering the tournaments as well.
Celebrity guests Patton Oswalt and Jay Mohr will also be appearing — Jay is returning to host the live BlizzCon contests, and Patton will be performing a comedy routine during the closing-night ceremony, which will also feature all-Blizzard rock band Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain. In addition, senior Blizzard Entertainment developers such as Rob Pardo, Jay Wilson, Dustin Browder, and Jeff Kaplan will be rotating in and out of the broadcast desk throughout the day to talk about their work and share their thoughts on the convention as it unfolds.
Becky “Aktrez” Young is a gamer for all gamers, that’s what makes her so perfect as a host! Fun, spunky, and incredibly talented she has appeared many times on G4TV’s “Attack of the Show” as a guest for “The Loop”, she is the one and only Event Director for the legendary orchestra concert Video Games Live, a host for GameMusicRadio.com, and so much more!
