The story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to. Featuring Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, Felicia Day as Penny and a cast of dozens. Written by Joss Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, and Zack Whedon.
One of the most amazing internet sensations in the past 5 years …. and you can quote me on that!
Instead of giving my full review of this video, I’m going to let you do it for me. Watch all 3 episodes below and post your review in the comments below.
Once you are done doing that (and once you have fallen in love with this masterpiece) check out the T-shirts at Jinx.com and wear your new obsession with pride!
Here are some behind the scenes pictures from the making of Dr. Horrible that I found on their Myspace Page.

I have indeed purchased this on iTunes, and while it is free on the web I don’t regret my decision in the slightest. This was a very well put together video. The talent behind this really shines through. The music is catchy, the story is engaging, and it is sort of a nice flip on the superhero genre where you really view this aspiring super villain as the hero! The ending actually got to me too, though I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched all of it yet.
Thanks for posting the Jinx link, I’m gonna definitely get a Captain Hammer shirt. After all everyone’s a hero in their own way

Joss Whedon is a genius (like J.J. Abrams), and the biggest crime in television history is the premature death of Firefly and stopping the movies at only Serenity.
Also, Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris are two of my favorite actors out there- so it’s awesome to see them in this. =D

“Oh, goodness, look at my wrist, I gotta go.” I literally laughed out loud there.
I love those actors. Love Joss Whedon stuff. Great songs.

I also thought it was genius. I never ever know where Joss is going with his plots. The ending was a total shocker. Felicia Day is so talented. I had the pleasure of interviewing her and she’s just a wonderful person on top of it all. NPH rules!

Just as brilliant as anything else done by those involved with this. I wish I could have caught the panel and viewing at Comic Con for this. Alas…
