I have the PC version (I always opt that route for FPS due to the better control system of mouse/keyboard over controller) and out of all the games I’ve bought recently (which is to say a *ton*) I’m having the MOST fun with L4D.
Although, being shy as I am, I don’t find it easy to just join random games with strangers to play with- the other day I joined a game with a 12 year old in it who was swearing to make himself seem cool, and whining about every little thing that went wrong- and ended up leaving his whole team to die in the end. =p
Still, Versus is a BLAST- one time on No Mercy, I managed to kill two of the survivors with a hunter and never die. The next time that game I was back to Zombies, on the roof level of the hospital just before the rescue level (where the building is under construction) I became the tank and wiped out their whole team- knocked two of ‘em right off the hospital =P.
Only major complaint I have is the single player AI doesn’t use bombs and charges the Tank, therefore making any attempt to play expert with the AI impossible… if you encounter the Tank in single player expert, you lose automatically. Developers need to understand some of us don’t have the friends pool to pull from to play together online, and have to stick to AI friends!
