Let’s Tap is probably the newest and crazy brain child of Sega, proving that while America can do an FPS well, the real innovation still comes from the land of the rising sun; Japan.
While Let’s Tap was originally shown at the Tokay Games Show 2008, today saw the release of a further three screen shots. Let’s Tap, if you weren’t aware, is a game based simply off vibrations. Let’s Tap contains a series of mini games that require you to place the Wii Remote onto the Let’s Tap box and tap in time to the mini game. For example, during the ‘Tap Runner’ mini game, tap lightly and fast to run and tap hard to jump. The Wii Remote picks up on these vibrations and this will cause your character to move, the only time the Wii Remote needs to be used is during the menu selection.
The idea behind the game seems incredibly simple yet the game seems to have created quite a buzz, the Wii’s innovation has worn off with the majority of gamers, our tired and flabby arms wish for no more stick wiggling. Yet it’s games like Let’s Tap that are going to keep people coming back to the Wii, it is innovation spawning innovation.
Release dates for America and Europe are still TBC although there is a promise that we will see this game eventually.

Let’s tap seemed pretty popular at TGS, but it may be because they had the hottest booth babes. It seemed that men were primarily interested…haha
