Today, the King of Pop will be publicly laid to rest. Through years of media butchering and false accusations, many have forgotten the sheer talent and entertainment that Michael gave to this world. Let’s take a moment to remember Michael through the 6 categories of GEN.
Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker is a series of games created by Sega in 1990 that starred and were co-developed by Michael Jackson, himself. Although the home version and the arcade version had different gameplay, the story was the same. Taken from the Moonwalker film, the storyline follows Michael on a quest to save kidnapped children from the hands of the evil “Mr. Big”. The games incorporated synthesized versions of Michaels greatest hits such as “Beat It” and “Smooth Criminal”.
Michael’s international celebrity landed him as a co-star in many unusual places. One of them being the plot of a Japanese Anime entitled Idol Tenshi Youkoso Youko.
Here’s something you don’t see everyday! The patented shoes that were used in the Smooth Criminal music video to allow the dancers to make those 45 degree leans!
1. A system for engaging shoes with a hitch mans to permit a person standing on a stage surface to lean forwardly beyond his or her center of gravity, comprising:
at least one shoe having a heel with a first engagement means, said first engagement means comprising a recess formed in a heel of said shoe covered with a heel slot plane located at a bottom region of said heel, said heel slot plate having a slot formed therein with a relatively wide opening at a leading edge of said heel and a narrower terminal end rearward of said leading edge, said recess being larger in size above said terminal end of said slot than is said terminal end of said slot; and a second engagement means, detachably engageable with said first engagement means, comprising a hitch member having an enlarged head portion connected by a narrower shank portion to a means for raising and lowering said head of said hitch member above and substantially level with or below said stage surface, said head portion being larger in size than said terminal end of said slot and said shank portion being narrower than said terminal end of said slot, wherein said hitch member can be moved through apertures in said stage surface between a projecting position raised above said stage surface and a retracted position at or below the stage surface, and when said head portion of said hitch member is raised above said stage surface, said first engagement means can be detachably engaged with said projecting hitch member, thereby allowing a person wearing the shoes to lean forwardly with his or her normal center of gravity beyond a front region of said shoes, and maintain said forward lean.

Recently announced, Bluewater Productions, the publisher of a series of biography comics featuring Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, and Oprah Winfrey, will release Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop in October. The Tribute will span Michaels life starting with the Jackson 5 all the way up through the sudden death last Thursday. “TRIBUTE: Michael Jackson, King of Pop,” features a wraparound cover and foreword by “The Official Michael Jackson Fan Club’s” Giuseppe Mazzola. Mazzola was also Jackson’s personal friend.
This is, however, not the first time Jackson has appeared in a comic line! Check out some of the other titles that have boasted Michaels likeness;
Whether it be for Halloween, an event like Comic Con or simply immitating style, people around the world took immediately to Michaels excentric beaded gloves and jackets.

From Toys to movies, theme park attractions to t-shirts and clothing lines - Michaels influence on pop culture is his greatest legacy. One need only do a brief Google search of Jacksons name to reveal the thousands of ways that his name and likeness have impacted our society.
THIS is what Michaels legacy should be about. Not the person that we - American society - have created. Let’s all take today to remember the amazing performer and American icon that is Michael Jackson.
RIP Michael

A great article covering some things that only the die hard Jackson fan would know. I wonder if the rumored new game will come out now because of his death and spike in popularity.On a side note weather you believe the accusations or not they persisted for a reason were they true or just misunderstandings of a public that couldn’t grasp a person trying to recapture a lost childhood. Either way that’s part of who we was to the American public.

Great article. I’ve always been a huge Michael fan. He will be missed by all. I’m not ashamed to say that I cried throughout the entire ceremony yesterday ESPECIALLY (like Orionsaint mentioned) when his daughter Paris spoke.
We put an MJ video game tribute video into Video Games Live that we play before the show.
Long Live The King!

Wow, who knew Michael Jackson had such a foothold in geekery…when I first saw this I was like “What? Michael Jackson over Farrah Fawcett? She was a female (GIRLS entertainment network) and one of Charlie’s Angels! But alright… you made a good point in this article.
