As a fan of The Witchblade, The Darkness and The Angelus – this print has me a bit giddy. Except for the fact that it reminds me that one of these lovely individuals IS GOING TO DIE!!! Sad…
Anyway, Top Cow recently sent over some information on a new Lithograph by Jeffrey Spokes set to release as part of the Broken Trinity event.
The print features imagery of three of Top Cow’s most iconic characters. Included are Sara Pezzini – the current Witchblade bearer, Jackie Estacado – the piece of man-candy who inherited the Darkness’ burden, and known criminal Celestine – the current host of the Angelus. The original piece of art was broken down into three individual covers for the Broken Trinity Tie-in issues. If you have not been following Broken Trinity, it is a three-part mini-series with three additional tie-in books, and as I mentioned at least one of the three prominent TC characters is GOING TO DIE!! Ugh. I put my vote in for Angelus now. Sara just had a kid. Jackie is hot. Granted, so is Celestine, but I really don’t like her much. Broken Trinity also promises to introduce new characters that will forever change the Top Cow universe. That is quite a promise.
Back to the print. The print includes all three covers put together into one limited edition lithograph. Jeffrey Spokes is a veteran in the comic industry, having done work for Virgin Comics on Sahdu: the Silent Ones and Devi. He also has completed commissions for Star Wars, X-Men and Hellboy.
