Comic book artist Ben Templesmith, best known for his artwork in 30 days of night, is launching a new comic this August. Like his previous works, Wormwood Gentleman Corpse and Singularity 7, Templesmith will be covering both writing and art duties.
Welcome to Hoxford, a 4 issue miniseries, follows his amazingly gritty horror style, he has been quoted saying: that “Welcome to Hoxford is a horrific new series that features an unique and terrifying take on werewolves” and “I’m trying not to give the whole shebang away in one go, but there’s a bunch of stuff in the book, from naked ancient old men, cannibals and prison shower scenes to bestiality necrophilia.”
In preparation for the release Ben has created a Promo poster that we can print out, and give to our favorite comic retailer to ensure they will have it in stock. The poster features all the information needed to order Welcome to Hoxford #1! Click here to find the high res printable version!
Check out Ben’s site, www.templesmith.com, to check out more info on all the projects he is working on, like his work on the cover of this charity comic, Pulp Tales. All proceeds from Pulp Tales, the “two-fisted one-shot features all-new, action-packed stories by horror master Steve Niles, Josh Fialkov, Kody Chamberlain, Tony Fleecs, Dan Taylor and more,” are going towards Josh Medors, comic book artist who has worked on such titles as 30 Days of Night Annual, Dial M For Monster a Cal Macdonald mystery, and Horrorcide. Recently Josh Medors has been diagnosed with cancer, he is not only battling with cancer, but he is struggling without health insurance.
Pulp tales ships in September, you can buy it from Boom! Studios for $3.99 here.
