Ah Disney! You’ve been such an integral part of our lives. When most people think Disney, they think princesses, singing, kid friendly fun and straight to DVD sequels of all their big hits (couldn’t resist). But probably their greatest accomplishment in my book (well, second, but that’s a story for another day) is their short lived series Gargoyles - a phenomenal series whose dark under belly would make you question whether you knew Disney as well as you thought you did. The series is a great incorporation of mythological and historical story-telling alongside the impressive voice talents of several Star Trek actors, and the incomparable Keith David as the gargoyle leader Goliath. As a huge Gargoyles fan (hence my Demona cosplay), I am excited to share this news with you!
Behold Goliath the Statue courtesy of Sideshow Collectibles and Bowen Designs. This is an absolutely stunning polystone statue which stands about 20″ high and shows Goliath in his classic roar of rage. Production numbers have yet to be released, but this gorgeous statue is expected to ship third quarter at Sideshow Collectibles. I can only hope they continue the series because to tease us with only one statue is simply cruel! Demona, Bronx, Lexington, Brooklyn, Hudson, Xanatos…oh what a collection this could be. Let’s hope this castle rises above the clouds and sets these Disney gems free!

Oh the days of my youth and watching cartoons. This is a beautiful statue. I bet it will cost around $200+ but that isn’t so bad considering the size and detail of it.

I wonder if this means we’ll finally get Season 2 part 2 of the TV show on DVD soon? It’s nice to see such a well crafted character get such loving treatment from such a great company
