The writer/company president agreed to take the time from his daily routine to give GEN the scoop on Peter and his boyhood pals ... and foes.

E3 has finally arrived! And to cover the event, GEN is doing a daily recap bringing you all the details and thoughts on the event that you could ever want.
Bayonetta, if you aren’t already aware is shaping up to be the first big release of 2009, being lovingly raised and sheltered under the SEGA umbrella. Bayonetta claims to bring a new genera of ‘Climax Action’, and no that’s not because her lovely lady lumps are on show or because the camera is slightly perverted and enjoys sticking to her crotch but because it hopes to bring fast paced, unadulterated, non-stop action.
Bayonetta herself poses as a witch, a sexy witch who rips through the world destroying of all things, angels. Using not only two pistols in her hands but two strapped to her feet which can be upgraded throughout the game to such weapons as shotguns and for your inner ninja, katanas. Bayonetta also sports the most cutting edge of fashion, clothes made from her own hair, which she can also transform into powerful attacks, such as a giant boot. Leaving her looking quite scantily clad if I do say so myself. However, anyone who finds that kind of thing does it for them will be happy to know that the more powerful the attack, the more skin that goes on show.
Direct of Devil May Cry, Hideki Kamiya leads the team on Bayonetta along with ex-members of the Clover team and from the trailers and images available; it’s really starting to show. The game play follows similar lines as DMC except is outrageously more eccentric. Still the development team reckon what we have seen so far is merely the tip of iceberg and Kayima believes this game will “…blow the doors off the action genre”.
Bayonetta has some big boots to fill after the onslaught of top notch gaming we have received this holiday and New Year, but Bayonetta still has yet to receive a release date and is still shrouded in the mystery of ‘TBC 2009’. Here’s hoping we see Bayonetta and her over flaunted behind hitting our screens (that’s for both the PStriple and the 360) sooner rather than later.
