Can you imagine what it’s like being responsible for bringing characters fans have come to know and love over 7 seasons of TV to the comic page? That’s the duty Buffy artist Georges Jeanty shouldered when Joss Whedon handpicked him for the gig. Fazed? Hardly. Jeanty was too busy enjoying his comics, sci-fi and horror to notice the pressure.
A special one-shot ships today from Dark Horse---just in time for the holidays. Buffy fans might not get their favorite witch gift-wrapped under the tree this year, but they can get a generous dose of Willow action. Guest artist Karl Moline answers some of our pressing questions after the jump.

She sees dead people. I don’t want to see dead people. Please don’t make me see dead people!

The 2009 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award Nominees have just been announced. They’re given out each year at Comic-Con International to highlight the best and brightest in the industry. This year will be the 21st annual ceremony named for famed writer and artist Will Eisner. If you’re a conspiracy nut, you already know all about Groom Lake in Nevada and possibly have an irrational fear of extraterrestrials. If you’re like me, you can’t wait for the day when aliens finally show up on Earth. After today, Groom Lake #1 from IDW Publishing has me siding with the nutters.
The complete list of Gold and Silver books has been announced for Free Comic Book Day 2009. The 8th annual FCBD falls on May 2nd.
Looks like the highlight for me will be DC’s Blackest Night #0. We get a look at the new Black Lanterns symbol but unfortunately it’s all previously published material inside. It’s a good spot to catch up though as the book will include key moments in the Green Lantern universe that led to the “War of Light.”
Here’s what else you can look forward to picking up on FCBD:
GOLD COMIC BOOKS
SILVER COMIC BOOKS
ADDITIONAL ITEMS
For more information, questions or updates check out the official FCBD website, www.freecomicbookday.com.
