Can you imagine what it’s like being responsible for bringing characters fans have come to know and love over 7 seasons of TV to the comic page? That’s the duty Buffy artist Georges Jeanty shouldered when Joss Whedon handpicked him for the gig. Fazed? Hardly. Jeanty was too busy enjoying his comics, sci-fi and horror to notice the pressure.

Anime and Video Games Go Hand-in-hand!


Many of the games that are currently being released are anime-esque.  Even the story lines mimic Japanese cinema in the “anything goes” fashion!  What I mean by this is, a story can take you one way, then completely smack you in the face and take a sharp turn towards who knows where!?  However, I must ask, is Japanese art “invading” gaming, or was it inevitable?  I believe that it’s more predominant because of our (Americans) growing interest in that culture.  Of course we’re going to witness the so-called “invasion” of anime into gaming!  :D

Okami, the great Capcom screw up

In 2006 Clover studio released one of the greatest achievements on the PS2 console that the world had ever seen. The game known only as Okami was IGN’s 2006 Game of the Year. Okami took home several more awards that year, making it the eighth highest overall game of 2006 and second for the PS2, behind Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Okami was a masterpiece if there ever was and it’s colorful sumi-e art style made for an excellent game. It is now the year 2008 and the game is still a masterpiece yet it is no longer under the name of Clover, but Capcom and Capcom has a whole lot of dirty laundry.
