The writer/company president agreed to take the time from his daily routine to give GEN the scoop on Peter and his boyhood pals ... and foes.
Awakening author Nick Tapalansky talks comics, zombies and zombie comics with The Nerdy Bird! Plus, Mexican brothels?!
Last time we interviewed the creative minds behind The Black Cherry Bombshells. But what about the comic's illustrator? We asked Sacha Borisich about her female role at Zuda, what she thinks of the digital medium, and her reaction to the zombie-infested, girl gang story.

Square Enix released almost a dozen more screenshots for the highly anticipated RPG Final Fantasy XIII showing Lightning, Snow, and Sazh fighting off more mech-hounds and Steam Punk henchmen. Let’s see if this will hold you over ’til another trailer is leaked. Maybe dissecting these photos will clue you in on the new battle system being used this time around.
Final Fantasy XIII is scheduled to be released later this year in Japan, and Spring 2010 for North America and Europe.
Like the fangirl that I am I continue to come back to SquareEnix time and time again hoping it will one day produce a game that will redeem itself of its many wrong doings *cough* Last Remnant *cough* and restore itself to the glory days. So my fingers, toes, legs and eyes are crossed for Star Ocean: The last Hope because as far as I am concerned, this really does feel like the last hope.
Star Ocean: The last Hope is set as the prequel to the Star Ocean universe and tells the story of the aftermath of World War III as humanity looks for a second chance and a new place to call home. Star Ocean is another member of the SquareEnix family of RPG’s and is seeing its new title exclusive to the Xbox360 as apposed to its old flames of the PlayStation2 and PSP.
What pains me more than anything is that the Japanese will be seeing this game first on February 19th (no surprise there) and after having their release date bumped up, America will see Star Ocean: The Last Hope arrive on February 24th, a mere 5 days after Japan. PAL territories however, that means Europe, still don’t have a release date as SquareEnix refuse to pin down a date and continue to destroy European hope with an ambiguous ‘Spring 2009’ which could be as late as April.
SquareEnix only hurts me because it loves me, right?
Well I’ve taken my sweet ass time to finally pick this game up, but with the onslaught of games we have had this Christmas it hardly been surprising! Read the full story
The 2008 Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival, held by the game’s maker Square Enix, was held Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6, at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel on Highland Avenue. About 500 die hard FFXI gamers descended onto the hotel, myself and my husband included. This was our second year to go to the FanFest and I have to say, what I experience at the FanFest is why I keep playing FFXI. Read the full story
I’ve been attending the Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival since it’s first trip to the States in 2006. The Festival is the place to get a first look at new content, attend a Q&A with developers, and team up with other players from around the world to experience new jobs and areas. This year’s event took place at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, CA to celebrate FFXI’s three new patches; A Shantotto Ascension, A Moogle Kupo d’Etat, and A Crystalline Prophecy.

Either Square Enix has been extremely hush-hush in keeping something from us or an employee from Best Buy really mucked up! Read the full story
