Valentines day is only a few weeks away and while you may not want to get that special gamer in your life a new logitec surround sound system or a years worth of World of Warcraft there are other alternatives for those who want to be cheap and still show they care.
Alexandria “beavotron” Neonakis is a graphic artist and freelance illustrator from Halifax Nova Scotia. Each year it seems she creates some truly memorable video game inspired valentines that show allows anyone to download from the interwebs. Each valentine is in an extremely cute art style and while it may not be something you would want to give your mother, your best video game buddy should get a kick out of them. Plus points for you if you give them to a gamer girl.
On top of Left 4 Dead themed Valentines she also has World of Warcraft, Beautiful Katamari, and Team Fortress ones. All of which can be found at her website: http://www.beavotron.com/

With the Penny Arcade Expo well on it’s way for 2008, the PAX 10 this year is a unique mix of intelligent and interesting games that prove you don’t need to be funded by a multi-million dollar company to make a good game. Over 80 independent game submissions were entered into the contest, originally announced in March, which were then narrowed down to a “ten best” list (The PAX 10) by a panel of industry experts including Penny Arcade’s own Gabe and Tycho.
