I kind of like 5, 8, and 9 … but yeah the rest are tacky. And that last one IS pretty weird, heheh.

I think these are a great idea. I’m a firm believer that all stupid people should be clearly labeled.

Some of these are kinda gross. I think 1 and 3 are cool, but a definite pass on the Apple tats.

Btw…first post! Hi Becky! I followed ur blog since when you wrote over at IGN. You’ve done great things with GEN! Good job!

Welcome Anna! Glad to see you over here.

What is up with that last tatt? I don’t think it’s a tat as much as it is a cutter crying for help …. in the shape of Apple.

Why would anyone love DVD THAT much? I mean, that can be said for most of them but what epic, profound way can DVD change someone’s life?

My forearm, with the power button, is the fifth pic. Dunno where they got it, but it appears on a lot of similar articles. (Not that there’s much “article” to this article.) The image is Creative Commons licensed, requiring attribution.. but that never happens. A link to wherever you snagged it from woulda been nice. Ah well.

    Anyways, a better view: http://flickr.com/photos/xt0ph3r/126522275/in/set-72057594103814444/

I was thinking maybe his initials are DVD, and he thought it was funny.

Not that I would get an AMD tattoo, but anytime I see it on a computer, I’m like, oh it’s me! (You know you’re a geek if your initials also stand for Advanced Micro Devices?)

I like some of them. Primarily not the ones that are an advertisement for some sort of brand. R3v - your tat is so well done it is creepy! The “Cyborg” and the error message one…they rock!

Not a big fan of body art, tbh - not my thing (I like being low key so, shrug)

I do think some of these look alright - not sure I like the message or branding but at least there’s a cleverness/playfulness to some of em. A couple are disturbing (especially the one with the barcode - understand the concept but it just eeargh, the cut apple and the flesh fusing are kinda eeck to me, but hey - eye of the beholder)

I think the “Think different” tat on the midriff is rather clever in a naughty way. The “Geek Squad” one is also rather clever. The camera one looks well drawn, as does the uh text device one. The circuit board one is very well done, but the flesh stitchover (while clever) is unnerving, same with the power button (dont like the fusing flesh and circuitry there looks well drawn but gross to me :P) The DVD one looks really really impressive as far as how clean and crisp it is (not sure I like the idea of branding something like that on my arm but hey it looks nice anyway)

Not my thing and some are kinda tacky/cheesy but hey, if people wanna do that - it’s their choice, at least they invested in getting quality workmanship for the most part (well except for that last one, which is really really kinda scary)

Not for me, but w/e floats folks boats - not my place to judge what people love or how they express their passions

I think 9 is cool!! It’ actually looks real… lol. And the power button ones aren’t all that bad. But getting a brand name permanently marked on your body is pretty lame… and ONLY good if they are paying you for it! And paying you till you die or it… comes off. lol

The only way I’d get a corporate logo (and not a character insignia) tatted is if they were paying me for “billboard” space.

ooh, these are good. i’m really loving the one with the bar-code and ports. the Think Different “tramp stamp” is another good one. brings back fond memories of how Apple used to be. not to mention, girls with geek tatts - always a turn-on.
