Sweet! Air and Unknown Soldier made it into best new work! I have to read more of these now!
April 8th, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Yay Locke & Key and Umbrella Academy!
April 9th, 2009 at 1:21 am
I think it’s pretty telling that there are basically no Marvel/DC mainstays here, other than Thor.
April 9th, 2009 at 7:23 am
thank you for posting this girl, I was literally minutes away from googling it!

Well, All-Star Superman was nominated, but yeah, I think that’s usually how it goes. The superheroes get left out in the cold.
April 10th, 2009 at 6:34 am
“All-Star Superman” as best continuing. What did they do, put out one issue last year? Seriously. That’s ridiculous. Green Lantern and GL Corps are completely absent from the list and are far more satisfying for fans month after month.
Cover artist is always a touch category but I can’t believe John Cassaday is missing from the list. And no mention of Alex Ross? Are they in a coma when they nominate?

Thanks for posting the whole list
I was having trouble finding it

Yeah, GL definitely should have been nominated.
You’re welcome!
