Best Radio Station Ever!
Are you one of those people that avoids the radio because there is nothing good and the commercials run longer than the actual music? Do you find yourself bored with the music scene? It’s okay, we can still be friends. But seriously, if you feel this way than you have never listened to the glory that is 89.3 The Current.
Their motto, Great Music Lives Here, is super cereal. I have been turned on to so many new and amazing musicians that I would have never known about if it wasn’t for them. Their music is intelligent and artful. The DJs are goofy and passionate about the music they play. Have a request for them and you will actually hear it. The Current is based out of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul), but is streamed online. So if you are on your computer during the day, you can listen to it live. A person can also subscribe to their podcast and get the song of the day downloaded into their music library for free. The station often has bands in the studio for live recordings and interviews.
The Current is a public radio station so that means it is commercial free. If you contribute and become a sustaining member, you get a free CD every month and other gifts that you can check out online. Check it out because it has changed my musical life for the better. I became a sustaining member because I support local and amazing music.

They play so much! Everything…new and old. It is just amazing and hard to describe. LISTEN AND LOVE!!!

If I listen to the radio, it is the only station I can stand. They play a TON of variety which is uber nice. Still, I like to listen to my books on tape…lol

Haha, umm, do they play video game music? Personally, I would adore a station that played all soundtrack music. that would be cool.
