Why is there never anything to listen to on my iPod? Does this ever happen to you?
I will be scrolling through my artist list and nothing sounds good to me. Yet, I’ll be driving in my car and if a song comes on the radio that also happens to be something I own- I LOVE it! I crank that tune and sing along –wind blowing in my hair like a crazed Brittany music video.
I think I’ve isolated the problem. (Besides the fact that maybe I need my own personal wind machine.) The problem is the instant gratification. If the song is on my iPod, I lose the element of surprise and chance.
Who doesn’t love it when a favorite song they haven’t heard for years suddenly comes on in the car? (Bonus if you catch it from the beginning!) The first few familiar notes can make you squeal like you found $50 in the winter coat you just pulled out of the back of your closet.
If only there was some way to get back that element of surprise without having to endure the countless songs you don’t want. Everything is at my fingertips, except for the wonder of what is next. ☺

Haha me, too. I get bored of my playlists and library, then I switch to the radio … and this will forever continue, haha!

Oh man, I’m one of those people that just listen to the same 5 songs over and over.
However, I’m this way about movies.. I can own a movie, but if it’s on TV randomly, I’ll watch it.

I have an ipod, but I tend to listen to the radio when I drive. I do love that element of surprise hearing your favorite song on the radio, but I also play the song to death on my ipod lol.
