Since E for All is new to the con circuit, this was my first time attending so I didn’t have any expectations. It blew my mind! This wasn’t the case for everyone, however. Many thought that last years experience was top notch with bigger companies, more games, and better booths… at the same time, it was a complete flop! This years E for All proved that it may have staying power. True, the booths weren’t as epic… true, the smaller companies represented this year, but it was the people who made it what it was… FANTASTIC!
Friday started off OK, but picked up speed by mid-day! The GEN booth was seriously THE place to lounge! With all the competitions going on around us, we kept it simple while letting people know who we are and what we’re all about. We kept the con-goers busy with our raffle, games, and our Rockband setup (which was a HUGE success)! The constant flow of people along with the regular lurkers kept the booth a buzz! Many of the booths that surrounded us even stopped by to offer raffle prizes and free swag for our reviews! NOW THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT!
In my opinion, E for All was a success! I had a lot more fun than I did at comic-con! I got to see some old friends and meet new one’s. It was like a gaming reunion for many of us. The venue was small enough to allow people to take their time at each event and really take in the atmosphere.
There were several things that could be improved for next year:
- I would suggest a schedule. I didn’t know what was going on and when. There was a lot to do and see from competitions, to contests, to the obstacle course, etc. With an itinerary, it would have been easier to schedule my activities.
- More equipment for the exhibitors would have been nice! The event personnel didn’t provide us with proper tables and chairs so we ended up providing our own things…which got costly!
- A starbucks that serves everything! PLEASE?
- More stuff to buy! There just wasn’t enough “stuff” to go around! Honestly, I need more clutter to add to my collection!
Other than those 4 things, I have no complaints!
Some activities I was able to participate in include:
- The obstacle course with Mandy at the Fatal1ty booth.
- The Childrens’ International Film Festival with Vampire Kitten and Beau Ryan (reviews coming soon).
- Rockband with con-goers.
- The live taping with Coin-op TV.
- The Angels and Vixens after party Friday night.
- Coin-op TVs anniversary party Saturday night.
- Cosplay contest hosted by GEN! Then I got to rock out on Rockband with the other cosplayers at the Fatal1ty booth!
- L33t Str33t Boys concert on Saturday.
- Art viewing (so amazing)!
On top of everything else, we were able to snag several exclusive interviews so stay tuned for those!!!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi to us! It was so cool to finally meet some of you!! I can’t wait to do this again next year! I miss everyone already!

I wish I were at the show longer, but that couldn’t be helped. I thought it was good. Last years was awesome, but i like how this years turned out. If it comes around next year, I will be there as well.

Booooo @ ur work for not letting you play!
October 6th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Awesome!
Bummed I couldn’t be there!
October 6th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
Aw, it would be cool if you could Steph. Maybe next year, ya. I so want to meet you in person.

The itinerary was rather anemic, but at least the meager attendance allowed me to breathe, unlike Comic-Con which apparently doubles as an international Over-eaters Anonymous meeting. Still, next year really needs to crank it up a bit, and that does NOT mean cloning Fatal1ty!

ACK I HAD A BLAST! I think I may write up a review too soon… it was so weird there was no sched.. I guess there wasn’t much going on cuz they had that one flatscreen with the sched on it.. oh well. I too loved watching the LSB rawk it out!
October 7th, 2008 at 5:59 am
They didnt even have schedules ppl could find easily? ;(
One of these years I’m getting to these cons. I never seem to have enough money to afford the trips though, and now I need a passport :\

October 7th, 2008 at 9:32 am
Hahaha! I might cosplay again next year too! Our booth will be badass next year as well!
They did have the screen sched. like Jinxie mentioned, but I didn’t see that until Saturday… I didn’t know about a lot of the activities unless the other exhibitors told me about them. :S

October 7th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
Awww! I wish I had gone girls (and guys) I miss you all SO much! It sounds like you had a blast. I hope that E4All merges with E3 next year or something, it would be awsome to see the con grow a bit!
October 7th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
From what I hear they are thinking about making e3 public again, but that would mean higher gate prices and no place to really just hang (E3 is saddened by the attendence numbers). I really hope they keep it seperate. This way con doesn’t become an E-BAY grabathon again.

It was good to meet some of you mates there.
I was happy to help with fundraising and I am happy I got my Imperial Stormtrooper Commander ^_^.
It was good you had the Rock Band 2 set. I never tried it before and felt like I might as well test how good my singing skills from my days in choir were
October 8th, 2008 at 6:22 am
Imperial Stormtrooper Commander wha?
October 8th, 2008 at 8:52 am
FredOzzel: that was one of our raffle prizes! We actually had a lot of good stuff to raffle off!
It would be nice to see this con flourish but I wouldn’t want the ticket prices to go up either *haha*!
