Right now on Bungie’s website, there is a post dated 9/22 with the title “Pardon Our Dust” and an unusual transcript from what looks like UNSC’s Office of Naval Intelligence. Is this the start of a new viral marketing scheme? or is Bungie following in the footsteps of Blizzard’s recent stunt.

I love it when companies do fun stuff like this. It’s more for the fans, and that’s always great.
My funny Bungie story is back before they were bought out by Microsoft, and Marathon was out, I got stuck in it. Since it was before the advent of online gaming hint sites, I had no recourse… So I got a phone number from the operator (took a bit of work) and called up.
No idea who it was, but I ended up getting one of the developers directly. He was really surprised, but very cool about helping me get unstuck. Bungie still remains very high on my list because of that experience when they were starting out!
