Remember James Gordon’s warning awhile ago to those who attempted to hack into Acme Security for the Joker? Well, he kept his promise of keeping in touch, and yesterday many fans received an email from the lieutenant.
After Jim Gordon set a trap on the TDK viral website, the Clown Travel Agency, in the beginning of April for any possible Joker conspirators, anyone who followed the link to Acme Security Systems and entered his information immediately received a phone call from, unexpectedly, him—not the crazed clown.
Can’t stop the virality.
He stated he’d be in contact later about what we, his new “recruits,” could do to help clean up Gotham, and judging by this email cryptically entitled “It’s Time” I and countless others found in our inboxes last night, the man means business:
My friend,
Indictments are about to be handed down. If you don’t want your name on one, we’ll need your full cooperation in an upcoming operation.
In case you haven’t heard, we are struggling with a bit of corruption in the department. I’m not about to let the Gotham PD collapse in on itself, so we’re taking action. We’ve identified a group of offenders that need to be apprehended. Problem is, most of these cops are hightailing it out of the city. But a C.I. just like you just gave us some information on their last known whereabouts. Now all we need is to catch them. This is where you come in.
Consider yourself on deck. I’ll contact you next week, and let’s just say it’s in your best interest to play along. County’s not a place you want to spend the rest of your life.

It doesn’t take a face full of cyanide pies or a squirt of acid from some trick flowers to know that the “group of offenders” he’s referring to is most likely the Joker and his clowns, but I’m excited to see what this secret “upcoming operation” entails. Stay tuned.
