The World Cosplay Summit 2009 champs were just crowned. But who won? Who placed? And how did Team USA do in the Grand Finale event?
This year’s overall champs were Team Japan, with Team Spain being the runners up to the prize. But Team USA was not forgotten. They got the “Brother prize.” WCS only gives prizes for winners, runners up and the Brother prize, so it’s something like a third place finish.
Team USA performed as Card Captor Sakura and the Flower Card to earn the distinction. (See a video of them receiving their prize.)

Admittedly, they aren’t all of the greatest quality. But they’re the first peaks we’re getting at the teams’ performances. So far, Thailand’s performance had to be the funniest. But Team Korea incorporated some breathtaking fight scenes into their act.
