Not content to release a trickle of XBLA ports each year, Sega has compiled a massive collection of Genesis classics onto a single disc for an offensively low price. Some of the included titles are likely to elicit a warm, fuzzy feeling in your special place, while a few are games that even I haven’t heard of despite my years of Sega fanboyism. Be sure to read GEN’s exclusive, can’t-miss, exhaustively in-depth review after the jump!

I guess you didn’t have buyers remorse huh? It’s hard to pin a score on this game. Personally, I think the 3 Shining Force games are worth the price of admission alone, though I doubt I will ever have the time to play through them again in my life.

I don’t know if I will get this one. I was a big fan of Disney games like Aladdin and The Lion King for the Genesis. That is a crap load of games though!

Omg, it’s for the PS3, too! SCORE!
Incredibly comprehensive, informative review, William. I salute you, sir.

There needs to be a lot more of these types of games for the new systems. I really want this one!

Also, I shall expect an actual review of every single game included by the end of the week.

Hell yeah Streets of Rage. The only bad part is that they don’t have Aladdin, which was a ridiculously better game than it should have been. Thank god this is also for PS3. I am totally buying it.

0_0 wow that’s a lot of games, I think my childhood just called.

I’ve had it since the first day it came out. I love it! I get to play the once $69.99 Phantasy Star on a TV again. (Which William forgot to add on his list) I’m not too keen on the smooth option though. It makes the games look worse. The best thing of all in this compilation though, which few compilations do, is let you save at any point in a game. That makes the games a lot more playable.

Damn, that’s alot of games! I had no idea…the price is totally worth it, I used to be a big time sega girl when I was younger.

You don’t have to work on anything.
I remember Shinobi being one of the hardest games I ever touched, and had no idea there was a third (or even second), so seeing it bundled in with all these other games has definitely edged me towards a purchase. Obviously your review was the beginning of my wallets scarily small demise, being so in-depth n all.

I remember these games being awesome on the Mega Drive!
