Hasbro Family Game Night is not a game so much as it is a customizable central HUB for up to seven different Hasbro games: Scrabble, Connect Four, Yahtzee, Battleship, Boggle, Sorry!, and Sorry Sliders, the ladder three of which have yet to be released.
Each title is $10 and can be added to your Game Night at any time. Although at a cumulative total of $70 the complete package is absurdly expensive for a bunch of simplistic board games which all share the same virtual backdrop, the price point is perfectly suited to picking and choosing the games you want. Don’t care about Yahtzee but love Scrabble? First of all, /fistbump. Second of all, it’s only $10. It’s a small price to pay for some of the most classic board games ever made.

The festivities are hosted by Mr. Potato Head (seriously). He will guide you through each game or the Game Night rooms where you can view your trophies, change the scenery, or peruse your unlockables from gaining Achievements throughout the various games. It’s a nice touch and definitely keeps the entire experience from feeling as incredibly shallow as it could have been.
At the very least, download Family Game Night and poke around to feel it out. It won’t cost you anything! Then check back throughout the week for reviews of each game to see what they can bring to your XBLA collection!
