July’s annual San Diego Comic Con lingers just around the corner, waiting to deliver four days of non-stop entertainment brimming with your favorite stars from comics to movies and beyond. Among the mile-long list of panels, merchandise, and signings (and don’t forget lots and lots of walking) lies the prestigious Eisner Awards.
For five comic-centric days, the Girls Entertainment Network’s comics team will be presenting a series of articles dripping with reviews of the most prominent Eisner-nominated comics from ten exciting categories. That’s two articles a day—each packing a host of reviews based on five to six nominated books in one category. WITA, VirtualGirl, Jill aka The Nerdy Bird, Amber Love, and Melissa Kay give you the scoop on over fifty of the best comics this year! Yes, that’s over fifty reviews served to you by lovely ladies! What’s not to like?
And of course, we want to share those comics with you! All it takes is one comment on any of the ten Eisner articles we post this week, and your name will be entered into our exclusive contest made possible by the dozens of publishers and creators who have collaborated with GEN for this feature. You could be one of three lucky winners to receive a special Eisner prize pack at the end of the contest (ending midnight EST, Friday, July 10th). Winners will be notified Monday, July 13th, so be sure to fill in the email form when you comment and keep an eye out!
UPDATE: Congratulations to Christopher, Russell, and Rich!

I think it is totally awesome that you’re doing this kind of coverage of the Awards. Great way for fans to familairize themselves with what the nominees are. Go GEN!
